Locals of Passi City, Iloilo are getting a superb weekend ahead of them as the stars of the PBA visit for the 2023 All-Star Weekend, the first since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country and the rest of the world.

The players who are participating in the PBA All-Star Game and other side events like the Slam Dunk Competition and 3-Point Shootout arrived in the city on Thursday, and the fans met them with a warm welcome.

The Magnolia Hotshots’ Calvin Abueva, one of this year’s All-Stars, did not take too long in acclimating to Passi City.

In their meet and greet with the fans, Abueva made sure to give the people what they want—by strutting out his dance moves.

Man, did he give it his all, as his All-Star captain Scottie Thompson couldn’t keep up.

Or maybe those bobbing and swaying, as impressive as they already were, are just the tip of the iceberg for The Beast.

Jeremiah Gray of Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, who’s on Team Japeth Aguilar this weekend, also showed he can move it—eliciting cheers from the crowd.

On the other hand, the big men slated to star in the Obstacle Challenge—like Blackwater Bossing Ato Ular, Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Master Larry Muyang, and Abueva's Magnolia teammate James Laput—looked like they need more practice.

Catch the Obstacle Challenge, 3-Point Shootout, and Slam Dunk Competition along with the Rookie-Sophomores-Juniors Game tomorrow, March 10.
