Before the basketball world owned the term “fire kicks”, Astro Boy first wore them starting in the 50s. For the younger generations not familiar to Astro Boy, his footwear literally turns into rocket boots.
The iconic “big red boots” have become synonymous with Astro Boy and now, after three-fourths of a millennia, the “Mighty Atom’s" kicks found its way to the NBA—for better or for worse.
