Can't wait to see what Mighty Mouse can do for the Kings.
Get ready to see more players from the Sacramento Kings develop insane shooting touches from beyond the arc.
Former Gilas Pilipinas captain Jimmy Alapag on Saturday announced that he would be joining coach Mike Brown as player development coach of the Sacramento Kings for the upcoming NBA season.
"A DREAM COME TRUE. Incredibly blessed and thankful for this opportunity," he posted on social media.
It's been quite a journey for the Gilas Pilipinas captain and Talk 'N Text stalwart, honing his coaching skills with the national team, the Meralco Bolts, and Alab Pilipinas before getting the opportunity to join the coaching staff of the Kings in the Summer League back in 2019.
They won it in 2021 and he became an assistant for the Stockton Kings in the G-League.
Alapag will be joining the Kings staff with the squad coming off their best season in recent memory, clinching their first postseason berth since 2006 and ending the longest playoff drought in NBA history.
The Kings took the first two games against then-defending champions Golden State Warriors but were eliminated in Game 7 of the first round.
