Manny Pacquiao's footsteps are impossible to follow, but his first-born, Jimuel, has entered the ring nonetheless.
Well, well, well. How the tables have turned.
Dionisia Pacquiao, widely known as Mommy D, has publicly stated before that she can't tolerate watching her son, Manny Pacquiao, fight in the ring. Turns out the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree because Pacman himself can’t watch his first-born, Jimuel, slug it out inside the ring.
The younger Pacquiao recently fought and won via unanimous decision in his latest Las Vegas amateur bout. Jimuel is training under the tutelage of Marvin Somodio, who has been in the corner of his father and another Filipino boxer Mark Magsayo.
Asked why Pacman didn't ask for the services of legendary coach Freddie Roach to train his son, the eight-division world boxing champion has this to say.
“Si Marvin kasi is amateur boxer dati.
Right now, Jimuel is testing the waters in the amateur level, and his father has no problem with this decision. Although, things will definitely change for Pacman's son if he decides to enter the different beast that is professional fighting.
