Rhonjhay Abarrientos reached a new milestone in South Korea.
While K-Pop groups like TWICE, BTS, and Blackpink continue to mesmerize Filipino fans, Rhonjhay Abarrientos continues to make a splash in South Korea.
It's not yet Park Seo-joon level, but you know Abarrientos' popularity has reached a whole new level when he made the cover of Korean basketball magazine Jumpball's December issue.
It's not hard to understand why.
By far the most impressive Filipino reinforcement in the Korean Basketball League, Abarrientos has been at the forefront of the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus' campaign.
His latest exploits include a 22-point effort built on five triples to go with 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal and 1 block in a 85-68 rout of Jeonju KCC Egis.
His fellow Filipino imports couldn't help but feel proud. Thirdy Ravena, who plays for San-en NeoPhoenix in the Japan B-League, even posted a story of Abarrientos' latest feat.
