Japanese star Yuki Kawamura dazzled for the Windy City Bulls, flirting with a 34-point triple-double in a close loss against the Grand Rapids Gold.
Yuki Kawamura turned heads for the Windy City Bulls.
The Japanese playmaker dazzled with a near triple-double of 34 points, 16 assists, and eight rebounds in the Bulls’ 135-131 loss to the Grand Rapids Gold in NBA G League play on Thursday, February 12 (PH time).
His 34 points and 16 assists both set new G League career-bests, highlighting a strong outing alongside three-time defending Slam Dunk champion Mac McClung.
Now on a two-way deal with the Chicago Bulls, McClung poured in 30 points and dished out five assists, including a highlight reverse dunk off a perfectly timed Kawamura lob in the second period.
Kawamura, signed last month, continues to split duties between Chicago’s NBA squad and its G League affiliate.

McClung, however, will not chase a historic four-peat after declining to join this year’s NBA All-Star Slam Dunk competition.
Instead, Carter Bryant (San Antonio Spurs), Jaxson Hayes (Los Angeles Lakers), Keshad Johnson (Miami Heat), and Jase Richardson — son of former multi-time Slam Dunk champion Jason Richardson — of the Orlando Magic will headline the field in LA on Sunday, February 15 (PH time).
