Flowlish Gunma are the champions of the Manila Hustle 3x3 Season 4, beating Uratex Dream in the Finals.
Saicha Grant-Allen just could not be denied.
Back after last year's runner-up finish, the Canadian Olympian carried Flowlish Gunma to the Manila Hustle 3x3 Season 4 crown, besting Uratex Dream, 17-11, Sunday at SM Mall of Asia Music Hall.
Grant-Allen fired eight points, four rebounds, and three assists in the finale, including the game-sealing layup with 12 seconds to go to cap off her MVP performance.
Misa Yokoi also did damage with her seven points as Flowlish Gunma came away with the USD4,000 cash prize.
More importantly, the Japanese club, which also included Nami Niita and Hosoka Harayama, have earned the ticket to the Fiba 3x3 Women's Series Shanghai stop in May.
This also kept the Manila Hustle 3x3 title with a Japanese ballclub after ZOOS Tokyo won the past two seasons.
Still, the Dream refused to back down with Afril Bernardino rallying the troops to fight back from a 13-6 deficit as the home team got to within two, 17-15.
Bernardino scored eight points in the runner-up finish as she was joined by CT Tigers' Supavadee Kunchuan in the Mythical Three.
Uratex Dream, which also had Kaye Pingol, Sam Harada, and Li Renzhu, took home USD2,500 for the bridesmaid finish.
Kunchuan, on the other hand, steered CT Tigers to a 21-11 win over Gilas Pilipinas Stars in the third place game and bag USD1,500.
