Kai Sotto continued to show he is slowly getting to top form, recording another double-double for the Koshigaya Alphas in the B.LEAGUE.
Kai Sotto delivered another double-double outing as Koshigaya Alphas downed Sendai 89ERS, 87-79 in the 2025-26 Japan B.LEAGUE on Saturday, Feb. 7.
The 7-foot-3 Filipino center continued to be an imposing presence since making his comeback for the Alphas, rifling in 10 points and 13 rebounds at the Koshigaya General Gymnasium.
Sotto — who is now expected to report for Gilas Pilipinas for the second window of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers — also had six assists and a block as the Alphas made it back-to-back wins for a 14-22 record.
Amid Sotto’s third straight double-double, it was Jarell Martin who did most of the damage for Koshigaya with 22 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two blocks to boot.
Davon Reed and Shun Matsuyama added 16 and 15 points, respectively.
Jarret Culver paced Sendai with 28 points, four rebounds, two assists, and three steals as the 89ers dropped to 21-15.
