Kai Sotto is slowly getting his groove back.

The 7’3” Filipino center had his best game since returning from ACL injury, powering the Koshigaya Alphas to a close 81-80 road win over Levanga Hokkaio in Sunday’s B.LEAGUE action.

Sotto went for 20 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, and one block to help the Alphas snap Hokkaido’s 13-game home win streak.

Kai also recorded 14 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and three blocks in the first game Saturday, making this his best weekend of his season.

Following over a year of recovery from his knee injury, Sotto made his return last January 24.

Anthony Clemons led Koshigaya (13-22) with 23 points, including the free throw to separate the two teams in the end.

Meanwhile, Dwight Ramos was held to a rare scoreless game after scoring 18 points in Hokkaido’s win on Saturday.

Despite the loss, Hokkaido is still in first place in the Eastern Conference with a 26-9 mark.

Levanga share the same record with defending champion Utsunomiya Brex and the Chiba Jets, but hold first place after tiebreakers.

Speaking of the Jets, Quentin Millora-Brown contributed six points, four rebounds, and three assists as Chiba scored a bounce-back 95-76 win over the Saga Ballooners.

In other games, Kiefer Ravena dropped 14 points and five assists as the Yokohama B-Corsairs beat the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins, 80-70.

AJ Edu had six points and seven rebounds for the Gunma Crane Thunders to beat the Brex, 81-70, while Francis Lopez had eight points for FE Nagoya in a 73-61 victory over the Ryukyu Golden Kings.

Ray Parks Jr. had 12 points, three rebounds, and three assists but his Osaka Evessa took a sorry 77-76 loss to the Akita Norther Happinets.
