Kai Sotto reached a personal milestone in his third appearance for the Koshigaya Alphas this season.

The 7-foot-3 big man became the latest Filipino import to score 1,000 career points in Japan's B.LEAGUE, albeit coming in an 88-81 loss for the Alphas against Dwight Ramos and Hokkaido on Saturday, Jan. 31.

Sotto hit the milestone with a slam dunk early in the first quarter and went on to finish with a solid stat line of 14 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists in 29 minutes.

It marked his best performance this season since returning from an ACL injury that sidelined him for over a year.

With the achievement, Sotto became the sixth Filipino to reach 1,000 career points in the league, joining Thirdy Ravena, Kiefer Ravena, Dwight Ramos, Ray Parks Jr., and Matthew Wright.

The loss dropped Koshigaya to 12–22, its sixth defeat in the last eight games.

Sotto and the Alphas will have a chance for redemption when they face Ramos and Hokkaido again on Sunday, Feb. 1
