Luka Doncic dazzled for the LA Lakers, Nikola Jokic returned in style for the Denver Nuggets, and New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson hit a major career milestone to banner a loaded nine-game NBA Saturday offering. 


DONCIC TORCHES WIZARDS; JOKIC DOMINANT IN RETURN VS CLIPPERS

  • LA Lakers (29-19) def. Washington Wizards (12-35), 142-111: Luka Doncic delivered a 37-point, 13-assist, 11-rebound masterclass, powering the Lakers to a 31-point blowout of the Wizards to regain their winning ways.

  • Denver Nuggets (33-16) def. LA Clippers (22-25), 122-109: Nikola Jokic wasted no time back from a month on the sidelines, scoring 31 points, pulling down 12 boards, and dishing five assists in only 25 minutes as the Nuggets toppled the Clippers.

  • Boston Celtics (30-18) def. Sacramento Kings (12-38), 112-93: Payton Pritchard picked up the slack in Jaylen Brown’s absence, scoring 29 points built on five threes as the Celtics handed the Kings their seventh straight loss.

  • New Orleans Pelicans (13-37) def. Memphis Grizzlies (18-28), 114-106: The trio of Zion Williamson, Derrick Queen, and Saddiq Bey combined for 63 points as the Pelicans added to the Grizzlies’ troubles, handing Memphis their fifth consecutive loss.

  • Orlando Magic (25-22) def. Toronto Raptors (29-21), 130-120: Desmond Bane took over in the fourth quarter, scoring 16 of his 32 points as the Magic snapped a four-game losing streak with a win over the Raptors.


BRUNSON SURPASSES 10K POINTS; DRAGIC SETS NEW ROOKIE RECORD

  • New York Knicks (30-18) def. Portland Trail Blazers (23-26), 127-97: Jalen Brunson scored 27 points as he passed the 10,000-career-point milestone, leading the Knicks to a fifth-straight victory after trouncing the Trail Blazers.
  • Brooklyn Nets (13-34) def. Utah Jazz (15-34), 109-99: Egor Dragic splashed his way into the record books, scoring 25 points and grabbing 10 rebounds to help the Nets snap a seven-game losing streak.

The rookie drilled a 3-pointer in his 34th consecutive game, surpassing Rudy Fernandez and Landry Shamet (33) to set a new NBA rookie record.

  • Detroit Pistons (35-12) def. Golden State Warriors (27-22), 131-124: Behind Cade Cunningham’s 29 points and 11 assists, the East-leading Pistons held off a late Warriors rally to notch their first win over Golden State in three years.

  • Phoenix Suns (30-19) def. Cleveland Cavaliers (29-21), 126-113: Dillon Brooks followed up his career-best 40-point game with 27 points, helping the Suns halt the Cavaliers’ five-game streak.
