When the game was on the line, the Philadelphia 76ers knew exactly who to trust.

Tyrese Maxey delivered the game-winning basket with 1.3 seconds left, capping a gutsy fourth-quarter comeback that sealed a thrilling 113–111 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Friday, January 30 (PH time).

With the score tied at 111, Maxey received a hand-off from Joel Embiid and delivered in the clutch once more, finishing his 40-point explosion with a dramatic flourish.

He even intentionally missed the free throw to ensure the Kings’ last-gasp attempt from Zach LaVine wouldn’t count.

Embiid contributed 37 points, eight assists, and five rebounds, while Paul George added 15 markers.

The win improved the Sixers to 26–21 while extending Sacramento’s misery—they have now lost seven straight games, dropping to 12–37.

Sacramento opened the fourth quarter on an 11–4 run, highlighted by LaVine’s three-point play that pushed the Kings ahead 103–92 with 7:44 left.

Philadelphia fought back as Maxey’s clutch layup put the Sixers ahead 109–108 with under two minutes remaining.

But Sacramento struck back as LaVine drilled a timely three to reclaim a 111–109 lead, only for Maxey to tie it at 111 with two clutch free throws with 27.2 seconds left, setting the stage for his heroics.

Dennis Schroder paced the Kings with a team-high 27 points, while DeMar DeRozan added 25 and Lavin chipped in 17 in losing effort.

Next up, the Kings remain on the road for a matchup in Boston against the Celtics (29–18), while the 76ers next host the New Orleans Pelicans  Pelicans (12–37).
