Back in Dallas for only the second time since being traded, Luka Doncic flirted with a triple-double to lift the Lakers past the Mavericks.
Once again back in a place he once called home, Luka Doncic put on a familiar show.
Doncic flirted with a triple-double, finishing with 33 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds as the Los Angeles Lakers stormed back from a 15-point deficit to nip the Dallas Mavericks, 116-110, on Sunday, January 25 (PH time).
Playing in Dallas for just the second time since being traded to the Lakers, Doncic haunted his former team and helped Los Angeles snap the Mavericks' four-game winning streak.
The Lakers led by as many as 14, but a poor third-quarter allowed the Mavericks to build a 15-point lead of their own before Luka and co. unleashed a decisive run to win the game.
The Lakers ended up outscoring Dallas 37–17 over the final 10:46 to seal the comeback.
LeBron James and Rui Hachimura chipped in 17 points apiece as Los Angeles hiked its record to 27-17.
For Dallas (20–26), Max Christie led the way with 23 points, while Naji Marshall added 21.
The Lakers head to Chicago to challenge the Bulls (22-22), while the Mavericks make their way to Milwaukee to battle the Bucks (18-26) next.
