Kevin Durant passed Dirk Nowitzki for 6th place in the NBA all-time scoring list as the Houston Rockets scored back-to-back wins by beating the New Orleans Pelicans.
Kevin Durant continues to climb the ranks in the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
KD went for 18 points in Houston’s 119-110 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday (PH time), moving past Dirk Nowitzki for 6th place in the NBA’s all-time scoring leaders.
Durant now has a total of 31,562 points, a basket clear of Nowitzki’s 31,560. Up next on the list is Michael Jordan and his 32,292 points.
KD got the historic significance, but it was Jabari Smith Jr. who led the Rockets in their dominant win with 32 points and eight rebounds.
Alperen Sengun had 21 points, and Amen Thompson added another 20 points as Houston improved to 25-15 with back-to-back wins.
The Pelicans dropped to 10-35 for the worst mark in the West, and got 21 points from Trey Murphy III.
