Morant missed six games due to a calf injury, but his comeback was a much-needed boost after finishing with 24 points and 13 assists.
It was a wire-to-wire win for Memphis, leading by as many as 33 points before improving to 18-23.
Jock Landale added 21 points for the Grizzlies, while Jaren Jackson Jr. was good for 17 points in a balanced effort for Memphis.
The Magic got 19 points and six assists from Anthony Black in the losing effort. Orlando dropped to 23-19 with the loss.
