Wonju's Ethan Alvano named 3rd round MVP of 2025-26 KBL season

Ethan Alvano added another milestone as he was recently named the third round MVP of the 2025-26 KBL regular season after showing his high-level of play in Wonju DB Promy’s last nine games.

Alvano, the second Asian Quota Player to win the award after Carl Tamayo last season, normed 21.3 points, 6.8 assists, and 3.4 rebounds in Round 3 where Wonju put out an impressive 7-2 record and 19-10 overall for currently third place in the KBL standings.

 

 

During the period, the 2024 KBL MVP scored a career-high 37 points against the Goyang Sono Skygunners which led to a victory for Wonju.

Alvano also hit a buzzer-beating triple against the Seoul SK Knights to cap an 18-point performance in a 65-63 comeback victory.

Against the Seoul Samsung Thunders last Sunday, Alvano likewise flirted with a triple-double, finishing with 17 points, seven boards, and 10 assists.

His consistent performances earned him 84 out of the 95 votes for the award.

The award nets him 2 million Korean Won, which roughly adds up to over P80,000, and a trophy. The league also plans to release MVP-themed merchandise, including a jersey designed in collaboration with Alvano himself to commemorate his performance.
