Look who’s back in the Windy City.

The Chicago Bulls have re-signed fan-favorite guard Yuki Kawamura to a two-way contract Tuesday, less than three months after waiving him ahead of the 2025–26 NBA season.

To make room for Kawamura, the Bulls waived Trentyn Flowers.

Under the deal, Kawamura is expected to split his time between the Bulls and their G League affiliate, the Windy City Bulls, giving the Japanese guard another chance to prove himself on the NBA stage.

The 24-year-old first turned heads during the 2025 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, where his all-around play earned him one of Chicago’s coveted two-way spots—before he was waived.

Before that, Kawamura made his league debut last season with the Memphis Grizzlies, appearing in 22 games off the bench as a third-string point guard behind superstar Ja Morant and backup Tyus Jones.

Chicago brings Kawamura back amid a two-game skid, holding a 17–19 record and sitting ninth in the Eastern Conference, keeping them in play-in contention.

The Bulls next hit the road to face the Detroit Pistons before returning home for games against the Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks.
