The playoff push continues for the Goyang Sono Skygunners as they chase the no. 6 spot in the standings, beating the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus, 77-67, in the KBL regular season at the Daegu Gymnasium on Monday.

Kevin Quiambao finished with eight points, six rebounds, three assists, and one steal in the victory which helped Goyang improve to 10-18.

While the Skygunners remain a few more games behind 6th-ranked Suwon at 15-14, the win over KOGAS is a step in the right direction, especially after falling in their weekend matchup against the Sonicboom.

Goyang jumped the gun on Daegu in the opening period opening an early double-digit lead, 24-14.

Nathan Knight led the cavalry for Goyang with 25 points, 13 rebounds, and four assists.

SJ Belangel, Daegu’s Filipino reinforcement, struggled from the field on a 3-of-10 shooting clip to finish with eight points, three rebounds, and three assists.

Ra Gun Ah paced Daegu in the losing effort with 15 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and one block.

KOGAS have skidded to the bottom of the standings with their 20th loss of the season. They tout a 9-20 slate.
