In the rematch of this season’s NBA Cup Finals, San Antonio beat the New York, 134-132, on Thursday (PH time) at the Frost Bank Center.
Julian Champagnie was the Spurs’ hero, firing a career-high 36 points on a franchise-record 11 made triples.
The Knicks led by as many as 19, but the Spurs staged an uprising in the middle of the fourth quarter to snatch the victory away.
After Champagnie, Victor Wembanyama had 31 points and 13 rebounds, but let the game early in the fourth quarter with an apparent leg injury.
Jalen Brunson had 29 points to lead the Knicks.
The Spurs improved to 24-9 with the win, while New York dropped to 23-10.
