No Joker, no problem.

The Denver Nuggets are victorious in their first game without star center Nikola Jokic, beating the Toronto Raptors, 106-103, on Thursday (PH time) at the Scotiabank Center.

Jokic hurt his knee against the Miami Heat last time out, and will miss at least four weeks.

In his absence, Peyton Watson stepped up to the plate with a game-high 24 points, powering the Nuggets to a strong bounce-back win.

Jamal Murray added 21 points as Denver improved to 23-10 in the competitive West.

For the Raptors, Brandon Ingram led the way with 30 points, while Immanuel Quickley and Scottie Barnes added 22 and 20 points, respectively.

Toronto dropped to 20-15 with the loss.
