For the second time in five days, the Boston Celtics got the better of the Indiana Pacers and extended their winning streak to four games.
Jaylen Brown continued his scoring spree with an eight-straight 30-point outing, bannering a Boston rout of the hapless Indiana Pacers to notch their fourth-straight win on Saturday, December 27 (PH time).
This achievement marked the second-longest streak of 30-point games in Celtics history, with the former Finals MVP sitting just behind Larry Bird’s nine-game record.
Payton Pritchard scored 27 points, Sam Hauser caught fire off the bench with 23, and Derrick White contributed 21 in a balanced Celtics offensive effort.
After trailing 28–39 at the end of the first quarter, Boston flipped the switch in the second, outscoring Indiana 47–22 to seize a commanding 75–61 halftime lead.
From there, the Celtics extended their advantage to as many as 24 points, handing the Pacers their seventh consecutive defeat and denying head coach Rick Carlisle his milestone 1,000th NBA victory.
With the win, Boston improved to 19–11, maintaining third place in the Eastern Conference.
For Indiana, Andrew Nembhard led the way with 18 points, but the Pacers fell to 6–25 and remain mired in a tough stretch.
Looking ahead, the Celtics aim for a fifth straight triumph when they host the Portland Trail Blazers (12–18), while the Pacers try to snap their skid in a road clash against the Miami Heat (15–15).
