We could be seeing the revival of the Spurs-Thunder rivalry.

San Antonio made it seven straight wins on Wednesday (PH. time), taking down the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder, 130-110, at the Frost Bank Center.

It’s the Spurs second win against the Thunder this season after their initial triumph at the NBA Cup semifinals.

It’s also Oklahoma City’s worst loss this season so far, albeit the Thunder have only suffered four defeats.

The game was back-and-forth until the Spurs took the lead for good in the middle of the third, and then San Antonio just kept pouring it on with a 43-point fourth quarter effort.

Keldon Johnson scored 25 points to lead the Spurs, followed by Stephon Castle with 24 points and another 20 from Harrison Barnes.

Devin Vassell was good for 17, while Victory Wembanyama came off the bench for 12 points.

The Spurs improved to 22-7 to create a bit of distance for second in the West.

Meanwhile, MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander paced the Thunder with 33 points.

The current top-2 in the West, both the Thunder and the Spurs will run it back with a marquee Christmas Day showdown but in Oklahoma City.
