Cooper Flagg and Anthony Davis lead the Dallas Mavericks to a second win over the Denver Nuggets in as many games this NBA season.
Dallas seems to have Denver’s number this NBA season.
The Mavericks beat the Nuggets again, this time a close 131-130 win on Wednesday (PH time) at the American Airlines Center.
The close final score wasn’t indicative of Dallas full control of the game, as the Mavericks led by as many as 21 points before the Nuggets made their charge in the fourth.
Tied at 121 with 4:29 left, the Mavericks pulled ahead for good, with rookie Cooper Flagg scoring five straight points to give Dallas a 128-123 lead.
Flagg finished with 33 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists to lead the way.
Meanwhile, Anthony Davis had 31 points nine rebounds, four assists, and three steals as Dallas improved to 12-19.
Jamal Murray had 31 points and 14 assists, and Nikola Jokic had 29 points and 14 assists for the Nuggets, but they dropped to 21-8 with the loss.
