Carl Tamayo got the one up on SJ Belangel as the Changwon LG Sakers beat the Daegu KOGAS in KBL action on Tuesday.
Carl Tamayo tied the game and scored the go-ahead basket to give the Changwon LG Sakers the victory over the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus, 74-71, in the 2025-26 KBL season at the Changwon Gymnasium on Tuesday evening.
Tamayo, who was recently announced as a starter in the 2025-26 KBL All-Star game, made up for a miss at the free throw line by getting his own rebound and scoring the go-ahead basket with 42 seconds for a 73-71 Changwon lead.
The former UP standout completed a comeback for the LG Sakers, finishing with a game-high 23 points to go along with four rebounds, and three assists.
He was followed by Assem Marei, who had a double-double of 22 points and 20 rebounds.
Meanwhile, SJ Belangel had a decent night for Daegu KOGAS with 12 points, three rebounds, and two assists in the losing effort.
Changwon kept its place atop the KBL standings with a 17-6 slate and is now winners of three straight games.
Daegu is at the other end of the standings with a 7-17 record. The Pegasus have lost four straight games.
