Brazil became the first-ever FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup champions, beating Portugal in a 3-0 Finals shutout on Sunday at the PhilSports Arena.
The victory capped a perfect run to the title for Brazil, who only conceded four goals all tournament long.
Emilly opened the scoring in the 9th minute, which was followed by Amandinha early in the second half to make it 2-0 for Brazil. Emilly was later awarded Golden Boot and Golden Ball with seven goals and two assists.
Debora Vanin put the finishing touches in the victory with a final goal near the 38th minute mark.
