The Timberwolves play spoiler to James Harden’s personal milestone.
Minnesota was able to pull through against the Los Angeles Clippers, taking the 109-106 win Sunday (PH time) at the Target Center.
The Wolves win came even as Harden scored 34 points to overtake Carmelo Anthony for 10th place in the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
Harden passed Anthony with his 21st point and ended the game with 28,303 career total. However, he missed the game-tying three in Los Angeles’ final possession.
The Clippers led by as many as 18 points but Minnesota charged late, finally retaking the lead in the fourth quarter.
Jaden McDaniels finished with 27 points to lead the Timberwolves, with Julius Randle adding 24 points.
After Harden’s 34, Kawhi Leonard had 20 points for the Clippers.
