South Korea repeats over China, with force this time.

Playing their home opener of the FIBA World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers, the Koreans dominated the Chinese Monday, taking a 90-76 win.

The victory was a far cry from South Korea’s initial 80-76 win in China three days prior. Still, this opening window marked the first time South Korea beat China in back-to-back games in major FIBA competition.

Junghyun Lee led South Korea with 24 points, firing 6/7 from three-point range.

Hyunjung Lee, who had a World Cup qualifiers record nine triples in the first game, cooled off and shot just 2/6 from deep but still managed 20 points in the victory.

South Korea led by as many as 32 points, with the final score being somewhat respectable as China won the fourth quarter by 14.

Shuaipeng Cheng led the Chinese with 19 points.
