Jimuel Pacquiao is officially a professional boxer, but the son of eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao had to settle for a majority draw against Brendan Lally for his debut.
Another Pacquiao son is taking the boxing ring.
Jimuel Pacquiao made his professional debut on Sunday (PH time), but had to settle for a majority draw against Brendan Lally at the Pechanga Resort Casino in California.
The four-round fight went the distance, with Pacquiao doing enough to get a draw.
One judge actually scored 39-37 for Jimuel, but the other two had it 38-38.
The result mirrors that of the older Pacquiao, with Manny’s comeback fight against Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight championship last July also ending in majority draw.
