Criss Cross finally claimed its long-awaited first Spikers’ Turf crown, surviving Kindai University in five sets to capture the 2025 Invitational Conference title.
The long wait is officially over for Criss Cross.
After three tries, the King Crunchers officially reign supreme in Spikers’ Turf, taking the 2025 Invitational Conference after defeating Japanese guest team Kindai University in a five-set thriller, 25-15, 25-21, 23-25, 23-25, 22-20, on Saturday, November 29, at the FilOil EcoOil Arena.
The Finals victory marks the franchise’s first Spikers’ Turf title since joining the league in the 2024 Open Conference.
It was a hard-earned win for Criss Cross as it turned back Kindai, who won in their semis outing in straight sets.
Jude Garcia had another monster outing with 35 big points, while newcomers Paul Colinares and Noel Kampton made major contributions to seal the title with 15 and 13 markers, respectively.
The King Crunchers claimed the mountaintop even without stars Marck Espejo, Eco Adajar, and Kim Malabunga, who are preparing for Alas Pilipinas’ campaign in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand.
