Brothers Carlos and Karl Eldrew Yulo may both be finding success in the gymnastics world, but the two-time Olympic gold medalist emphasizes that his sibling is making his own path.

The 2024 Paris Olympics floor exercise and vault gold medalist was at the sidelines of the Artistic Gymnastics Junior World Championships in Manila, witnessing his younger brother Karl Eldrew compete on Thursday.

Karl clinched qualifications to four finals: the individual all-around, floor exercise, vault, and horizontal bars.

"Super nakakaproud. Nakikita ko 'yung practice niya, talagang pinaghirapan niyang makapasok sa finals," Caloy told reporters after the qualification round. "Sobrang laking bagay po 'yan para sa kanya na ma-experience, especially sa ganitong opportunity, malaking competition."

Make no mistake, Caloy says Karl Eldrew is not his carbon copy. His sibling is developing his own identity after training in Japan. And the world champion can't wait to have his brother join him at the senior level.

"Totally different movement and different style talaga. Happy talaga ako dahil siya 'yung next generation," Carlos said.

His advice to his younger brother come the all-around finals on November 22 and apparatus finals on 23? It's all in the head, so make sure to have fun with it.

"Mental strength labanan dun. Mag-focus siya, isipin niya ang gagawin niya. Mag-enjoy po kasi mahirap 'yung competition mismo. Enjoy niya 'yung moment na magco-compete siya."

@onesportsphl "NAEEXCITE PO AKO PARA SA JOURNEY NIYA." 🥹🇵🇭 Double Olympic champion Carlos Yulo expressed his pride in his younger brother, Karl Eldrew, after witnessing his growth as a gymnast, saying he can’t wait for the day they compete together in the senior ranks and raise the Philippine flag side by side. | via Xander Cipriano/One Sports #OSOnTheSpot #JWCH2025 #GymnasticsPH #ARTJuniorWorlds ? original sound - OneSportsPHL
