JD Cagulangan came up big against Rhenz Abando as the Suwon KT SonicBoom oulasted the second-ranked Anyang Red Boosters, 68-62, in a back-and-forth KBL showdown on Wednesday, November 19.

Struggling for most of the game, Cagulangan delivered late with clutch fadeaway jumper as the shot clock expired, giving Suwon KT a 67-62 lead with just 10 seconds remaining.

He eventually finished with eight points on 3-of-11 shooting but added three assists, helping the SonicBoom move to 9-8.

Abando contributed only two points in 19 minutes as Anyang fell to 10-6, still trailing league leaders and defending champions Changwon LG Sakers (12-4).

Suwon will next face the Samsung Seoul Thunders, while Anyang takes on Will Navarro and the Busan KCC Egis.

Meanwhile, Arvin Tolentino and the Seoul SK Knights sustained their fiery form with an 89-68 romp of the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus.

Tolentino had nine points, while import Jameel Warney delivered a masterful performance with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists.

The win marked Seoul’s fifth victory in six games, improving their record to 9-8 and tying them with Suwon for fifth place.
