Can you smell what the Pistons are cooking?

Even without superstar Cade Cunningham and a handful of key starters, Detroit withstood a late Chicago Bulls uprising to pick up 124-113 decision for an eighth successive win on Thursday, November 13 (PH time).

Cunningham (hip), Aussar Thompson, Tobias Harris, and Jalen Duren (ankle) all sat out, yet the Pistons depth and firepower carried them to a East-best 10-2 record.

Paul Reed put up his best game of the season, posting a solid double-double of 28 points and 13 rebounds, along with six assists and our steals.

Duncan Robinson caught fire from deep with seven triples for 23 markers, while Davis Jenkins chipped in a solid 18 points and 12 dimes.

The Bulls battled back from a 23-point hole with a 17-7 fourth-quarter burst to get within 96-95 at 8:26.

But Robinson’s clutch three-pointer reignited Detroit’s offense, pushing the lead to 111-102 with under five minutes to go en route to preserving the dub and improved to 5-1 at home this season.

Matas Buzelis delivered a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds in a losing effort for Chicago, who remained without superstar Josh Giddey (ankle) for a second straight game.

After a hot 6-1 start, the Bulls have now dropped four consecutive games, slipping to 6-5.

Detroit will look to extend its winning streak to nine when it hosts the Philadelphia 76ers (7-4), while Chicago aims to snap its skid on the road against the Utah Jazz (4-7).
