The Trilogy Run Asia 2025 National Finals, which was initially cancelled due to Super Typhoon Uwan, will now push through on December 6 at the SM Mall of Asia Complex, organizers announced.

The National Finals, slated as the culmination of three legs of running progression for the year, would have a new date of December 6 (Saturday) from the initial November 9 (Sunday), after strong feedback from the running community.

"We thank you for your feedback and comments regarding the cancellation of the Santé Barley Trilogy Run Asia National Finals," organizer RUNRIO said in a statement. "As we have always emphasized, your safety and well-being remain our top priority. So, the decision to cancel the event was not made lightly but became necessary due to circumstances beyond our control."

The race, initially set on November 9, was declared cancelled on November 8 with the impending landfall of Super Typhoon Uwan. At the time, Metro Manila was under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal #1—later on Sunday raised to #3.

In the first announcement, all registered runners would be considered instant finishers and receive their entitlements. These would be delivered free to those outside Metro Manila, while a schedule for pickup would be arranged for those in the National Capital Region.

Due to the strong feedback from the runners, the organizers on November 9 welcomed the option to have registrants run at their own pace. Their results would be issued with a personalized e-certificate.

A P500 discount would also be given for the 2026 edition of the Trilogy Run, along with P2,000 worth of Sante Barley products.

All the 42K runners in the 2025 edition would also be automatically qualified for next year's 42K National Finals.

On November 10, after taking in additional comments from runners, the organizers announced a new development. They found a way to push through... on a Saturday.

They did so after persistent discussions with the local government units of Pasay, Manila, Makati, and Taguig, as well as government agencies, sponsors, and partners.

However, some things were changed.

Because of previous announcements and the significant portion of the budget already spent in the canceled race, some entitlements such as free ice cream, taho, and burgers are no longer available. This also covers the P500 voucher and the P2,000 worth of Sante Barley products.

Runners able to join on December 6 may claim their entitlements at the venue after they run. Those who have already claimed the entitlements are still free to join, but would no longer get new medals.

Those unable to join may still complete a virtual run, or claim their entitlements at any upcoming RUNRIO event.

Meanwhile, all 42K runners are encouraged to join the rescheduled event, since the previously announced automatic qualification to the 2026 edition no longer applies.

"We deeply appreciate your feedback, patience, understanding, and continued support. Together, we are committed to making this rescheduled final leg a reality and a truly memorable experience," RUNRIO said.
