John Cena completed a legendary career milestone by capturing the Intercontinental Championship on the November 10 episode of Monday Night Raw in Boston, defeating Dominik Mysterio in what was billed as his final appearance in his hometown.

With the win, Cena officially became a WWE Grand Slam champion, claiming the Intercontinental title for the first time in his career.

His path to the rare feat began at WrestleMania 20 when he won the United States Championship, followed by his first WWE Championship victory at WrestleMania 21.

He’s also a four-time Tag Team champion, first partnering with Shawn Michaels in 2007.

The Intercontinental crown was the only missing piece in Cena’s collection under both the original and revised Grand Slam criteria.

His victory marks a fitting highlight in his retirement tour, which now has three remaining dates — next week’s Raw, Survivor Series, and his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.
