Men’s volleyball league Spikers’ Turf is the latest to postpone its games on Sunday, November 9, due to the anticipated onslaught of Super Typhoon Uwan.
The Spikers’ Turf postponed its scheduled matches on Sunday, November 9, at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan as the country braces for the anticipated onslaught of Super Typhoon Uwan over the next few days.
The triple-header would’ve pitted league-leading Criss Cross King Crunchers against the UST-Gameville in the 2025 Spikers’ Turf Invitational Conference, with Criss Cross riding a four-game win streak.
Meanwhile, the Josh Ybañez-led Golden Spikers are coming off of back-to-back victories against VNS Griffins and the Alpha Insurance Protectors.
“Please be informed that today’s scheduled matches have been postponed due to Typhoon Uwan and the adverse weather conditions it has caused,” the announcement read.
The league also said that they will be announcing a new schedule.
Other matches which were slated on Sunday included the Savouge Aesthetics (3-2) going up against the winless PGJC-Navy (0-4), and FEU-DN Steel (1-3) locking horns against the VNS Griffins (0-4).
