Coast-to-Coast: Champ Thunder stay unbeaten, Bulls emerge as unlikely East solo leader
The reigning champion Thunder roll to an 8–0 start, the Bulls hold the top spot in the Eastern Conference, and the Pelicans finally notch their first victory of the season.

The last team standing last season is also the only unbeaten team left to start the 2025-26 NBA campaign.

Defending champion OKC Thunder rolled to a franchise-best 8–0 start, highlighting a six-game Wednesday slate that saw the Chicago Bulls pulled off an improbable comeback and the New Orleans Pelicans claim their first win.

THUNDER STAY UNSCATHED; BULLS RISE TO EAST NO. 1

  • New Orleans Pelicans (1-6) def. Charlotte Hornets (3-5), 116-112: Jose Alvarado drained the go-ahead triple with 16 seconds left, pushing the Pelicans past the Hornets for a much-needed breakthrough.

  • Toronto Raptors (4-4) def. Milwaukee Bucks (5-3), 128-100: Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett each scored 23 points, leading the Raptors to their third-straight win behind a 28-point rout of Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks.

The result served as a resounding response from Toronto after falling 122–116 to Milwaukee in their home opener just a few weeks ago.

  • Golden State Warriors (5-3) def. Phoenix Suns (3-5), 118-107: Playing their fifth game in nine days, the Warriors relied on Stephen Curry and a timely scoring outburst from Moses Moody to snap a two-game skid.

Curry led the way with 28 points, while Moody added 22 off the bench, including five three-pointers, helping Golden State remain perfect at home at 4–0.

  • Atlanta Hawks (4-4) def. Orlando Magic (3-5), 128-112: The Hawks picked up its third win in four outings, turning back the Magic for the second time this season.

Zaccharie Risacher scored 21 points as Atlanta led by as many as 25 on their way to the team’s first home triumph of the year.
