The defending NBA champions Oklahoma City Thunder continued their perfect start to the season, cruising past the struggling New Orleans Pelicans, 137–106, on Monday (PH time) at the Paycom Center.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led a balanced Thunder offense with 30 points and seven assists, as Oklahoma City extended its unbeaten run to 7-0.

The home team dominated from start to finish, leading by as many as 36 points, and showcasing its depth with eight players scoring in double figures.

Isaiah Hartenstein came close to a triple-double with 14 points, 14 rebounds, and eight assists, while the Pelicans were paced by Zion Williamson, who had 20 points in another losing effort.

The Thunder look every bit like defending champions, while New Orleans slipped to 0-6, still in search of their first win of the season.
