The Indiana Pacers finally broke through, storming back from an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit to stun the Golden State Warriors and end their winless start to the NBA season.
Pascal Siakam drilled a clutch go-ahead triple late as the Indiana Pacers completed a gutsy fourth-quarter comeback to stun the Golden State Warriors, 114–109, on Sunday, November 2 (PH time).
With the score tied at 109, the reigning East Finals MVP broke the deadlock with a three-pointer from the top of the key with 35.3 seconds left, giving Indiana a 112–109 cushion.
After Jonathan Kuminga missed a potential game-tying triple, Quenton Jackson sealed the win with a tough fallaway jumper, completing the Pacers’ come-from-behind victory, their first of the season.
Siakam finished with 27 markers, while Jackson tallied 25 points and 10 assists. Aaron Nesmith fired a team-high 31 points for Indiana.
Stephen Curry paced Golden State with 24 points, but the Warriors squandered an 11-point fourth-quarter lead to suffer their third-straight road loss.
After opening the season 4–1, Golden State has now lost back-to-back games and fell to 4-3.
The Pacers aim to make it two in a row when they host the Milwaukee Bucks (4–2) next in a rematch of last year’s playoff clash, while the Warriors return home to face the struggling Phoenix Suns (2–4).
