SAKHIR, Bahrain — The wushu performers chipped in big to the Philippines’ medal haul in the Asian Youth Games, producing three gold and two silver medals in a stellar Sunday show at the Grand Hall of the Exhibition World Bahrain.

Zeth Gabriel Bueno and Lyle Anie Ngina came through with impressive individual displays in wai kru.

Jan Brix Ramiscal and Tyron Jamborillo delivered the third gold medal, winning the team mai muay final as the Philippines hiked its gold medal haul to six.

Bueno’s 9.17 earned him the gold in the boys’ 14-15 wai kru final.

Thailand’s Daonuea Phuangmali got 9.0 points for silver, while Malaysia’s Jaethan Jonathan Quan was given 8.53 points and gained the bronze.

Ngina got 9.0 points to top the girls’ wai kru 14 to 15.
