Teen phenom AJ Manas shocked the billiards world by defeating top-ranked Fedor Gorst 5-4, pushing Team Asia to a 6-0 lead in the Reyes Cup 2025.
Rising Filipino billiards star AJ Manas delivered a statement victory on the global stage after stunning world No. 1 Fedor Gorst in their singles match at the 2025 Reyes Cup on Friday night, October 17, at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.
The 19-year-old Manas, the youngest player on Team Asia, showed poise and composure beyond his years in a back-and-forth battle against the Russian American superstar.

After trading early frames 1-1 and 2-2, Manas surged ahead 4-2 before Gorst closed the gap at 4-4.

The turning point came in the ninth rack when Gorst’s jersey accidentally grazed the 7-ball, resulting in a foul and a free shot for Manas.
The costly mistake allowed the Filipino to capitalize on to clinch the 5-4 victory.
With the win, Team Asia extended its lead to 6-0 over Team Rest of the World, further fueling their bid to defend the Reyes Cup crown.
