Preseason action reached high levels in Macao, China as the Phoenix Suns outlasted the Brooklyn Nets in overtime, 132-127, at the Venetian Arena as part of two games in the NBA China Games on Friday night.

The Suns came back from being down as big as 18 points to get their second win in just as many games in the NBA preseason.

Phoenix and Brooklyn gave fans much to cheer about in the thrilling win where Dillon Brooks did the heavy lifting for the Suns, who continue to miss Fil-Am newcomer Jalen Green, as he finished with 18 points on 7-of-18 shooting.

Brooks matched Booker’s all-around game of 18 points, five assists, and five steals.

Jordan Goodwin was the top scorer with 19 points and seven boards — he also made the game-sealing triple with 13 ticks left in the extra period to seal the victory and the final score.

Phoenix used a big third quarter where they outscored their foes, 30-13, to claw back into the game.

Cam Thomas uncorked 22 points along with three rebounds, six assists, and one steal in the losing effort for the Nets.

The Nets are now 1-1.

Both teams face off anew on Sunday, October 12, in the same venue to cap off the 15th edition of the NBA China Games which first began in 2004.
