Bjorn Martin Kristensen delivered a performance to remember, scoring all four goals as the Philippine Men’s National Football Team (PMNFT) routed Timor-Leste, 4–1, in the AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers on Thursday, October 9, at the Territory Rugby League Stadium in Darwin, Australia.

Kristensen opened the floodgates early, slotting in a rebound off a goalkeeper save in the 15th minute to give the Filipinos the lead.

He doubled it 16 minutes later, calmly finishing a solo run past the keeper for his second goal at the 31st minute.

Timor-Leste briefly sparked hope in the 47th minute through Paulo Gali, who converted to make it 2–1.

But Kristensen responded almost instantly—just two minutes later, he pounced on another rebound for an easy finish to restore the Philippines’ two-goal cushion.

The 23-year-old winger capped off his masterclass with a clean strike at the 56th minute, sealing the win and completing a sensational four-goal haul for the night.

With the victory, the Philippines climbed to the top of Group A in the third round of qualifiers, holding seven points from two wins (against Maldives and Timor-Leste) and one draw (against Tajikistan).

The Filipinos will look to extend their unbeaten run when they host Timor-Leste next on October 14 at the New Clark City Stadium.
