The Golden State Warriors erased a 21-point deficit in the second half to take the victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Golden State Warriors let loose in the fourth quarter offensively to stun the Portland Trail Blazers in a resounding comeback, 129-123, in the NBA preseason at Chase Center in San Francisco, California on Wednesday night (Thursday, Manila time).
Golden State were looking to end the night on the wrong end of a blowout when they were down by 21 points, 62-83, with 6:31 ticks left in the third quarter.
Heading into the fourth, Portland was still ahead by 19, 97-78.
But the Warriors, who still have a few players inactive for the preseason, uncorked a sizzling fourth quarter where they scored a whopping 51 points to erase the deficit against their opponents and improve to 2-0 for the buildup for the season.
Pat Spencer first gave the Warriors the lead late when he gave them a one-point cushion, 113-112 with 2:37 left.
While the game went back and forth from that point on, LJ Cryer drilled a dagger three to push the Warriors ahead permanently, 121-119, with 57 seconds left in the ball game.
But it was Quentin Post who ended up with a team-high 20 points to go along four rebounds, and two assists.
Jimmy Butler and Stephen Curry added 12 and 11 markers, respectively.
Shaedon Sharpe paced Portland in the loss with 22 points.
In the other game, the Toronto Raptors got themselves on the board in the preseason with a 130-122 victory over the Sacramento Kings at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.
Brandon Ingram led the cavalry with 21 points, six rebounds, and three assists in the win.
