World no. 1 Poland secured its fourth straight podium finish in the FIVB Men's World Championship after firing past Czechia.
World no. 1 Poland will finish with the bronze medal in the 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championship after powering past Czechia in four sets, 25-18, 23-25, 25-22, 25-21, at the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday, September 28.
After their shocking semifinal defeat to Italy the day before, the Poles overpowered the Czechs for their fourth straight podium finish dating back 2014.
This is also Poland’s first bronze medal, adding to the country's stacked medal tally of three gold and two silver in the World Championship.
Despite a valiant effort shown by Czechia, Poland proved to be just too strong as they banked on another monster outing by Wilfredo Leon, who finished with 26 points on 23 attacks and three blocks.
Kewin Sasak added 11 markers, while Szymon Jakubiszak added eight in the victory.
