Terrence Romeo savored his first 3x3 foray in over a decade as a member of the Manila MelMac in the recently concluded FIBA 3×3 World Tour 2025 - Manila Challenger.

The former three-time PBA champion took time to social media to extend his gratitude to his teammates, coaches and other key personnel in his recent play in the global half-court showdown.

“Thank you for inviting me to participate in the @3x3wt manila challenger. I am truly honored by the opportunity to represent the country again,” Romeo started in his Instagram post.

A three-time PBA scoring champion, he teamed up with Mac Tallo, Abdul Sawat, and Henry Iloka with former pro-player Chico Lanete calling the shots.

Although Manila Melmac did not win any single game and failed to reach the KO rounds, Romeo showed some flashes of his vintage play in the two-day tournament held at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

“Thank you Coach Chico Lanete for the knowledge and guidance you provide. To my teammates, it’s my pleasure to share the court with you guys. I’m still praying, watching and rooting for you all on and off the court,” he added.

Romeo then ended his post with a message of gratitude to his fans.

“Last but not the least, I’m very thankful to all my fans for your constant love and continued support. Your love, encouragement, and loyalty mean more than words can express. Each cheer, message, and show of support is part of the reason why I still continue to push forward,” he ended.

The Romeo-led squad finished 11th overall while two other Filipino teams — Mandaluyong and Cavite — placed eighth and 15th respectively in a tournament won by team Lugano of Switzerland.

Mike Efevberha earned the tournament MVP honors as Lugano clinched a spot in World Tour Macau Masters set for October 18 and 19.

Pao Ambat earned his journalism degree from Cavite State University in 2022.

Passionate about sports from a young age, he primarily covers the NBA for One Sports, while also assisting in reporting on the PVL, PBA, UAAP, and other leagues.
