Three games in, and Bulgaria looks unstoppable.

Already assured a place in the knockout rounds, the world no. 12 squad completed a Pool E sweep following a 25-17, 25-12, 25-12 thumping of Chile in the FIVB Men’s World Championship 2025, Wednesday, September 17 at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

With yet another victory, Bulgaria claimed the top spot in their group and will face the second-place team in Pool D — most likely Portugal or Cuba.

In their 11th tournament appearance, the Bulgarians are eyeing their first medal in the competition since taking bronze at the 2006 edition in Japan.

Meanwhile, Chile (0-3) ended their first World Championship appearance since 1982 without a win and failed to take a single set.
