Team USA brushed off an early Colombia stand to secure a sweeping 25-20, 25-21, 25-14 victory, earning their first win in Pool D of the 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championship at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday, September 13.
Three players were in double figures for the Americans, led by Ethan Champlin with 17 points. Gabriel Garcia and Jordan Ewert added 12 and 11 points, respectively.
With their first win under their belt, the reigning reigning Olympic bronze medalists now turn their sights to Portugal, whom they face on Monday, September 15, at 9:00 p.m.
Colombia, meanwhile, will look to recover quickly vs. Cuba earlier that same day at 10:00 a.m.
