Filipian tennis sensation Alex Eala is headed to Mexico where she will see action as the no. 2 seed of the Guadalajara 125 Open.
Alex Eala will be plunging back into action days after exiting the US Open in the second round.
The Filipina tennis ace is scheduled to compete as the no. 2 seed at the Guadalajara 125 Open, also known as the Abierto Zapopan.
Projected to return to world no. 70 in the WTA rankings after her maiden Grand Slam main draw win in women’s singles, Eala will try to ride the momentum of her historic feat as she continues to search for her first WTA title.
The Guadalajara 125 Open is a WTA 125 tournament which is expected to wrap up by September 6. This leaves Eala more than enough time as she is also scheduled for the SP Open in Sao Paolo, Brazil starting September 8.

In Mexico, Eala will face Dutch hitter Arianne Hartono in the Round of 32 on Wednesday (PH time).
The 20-year-old is a wild card entrant in the tournament, which features some of her former foes like Elsa Jacquemot of France, Emiliana Arango, and Victoria Jimenez Kasinteva among others.
Kamilla Rakhimova of Russia is the first seed in the tournament and is defending champion.
