Slovenia finally broke through in Group D of FIBA EuroBasket 2025, riding Luka Doncic’s historic triple-double to an 86-69 win over Belgium.

Doncic delivered 26 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists and four steals, notching just the fourth triple-double in the tournament’s history.

Luka’s all-around brilliance helped Slovenia end a two-game skid while keeping their Round of 16 hopes alive.

Belgium was first on the board but couldn’t really keep up as Slovenia quickly took over and led by as many as 23 points.

Andy van Vliet paced the Belgians with 15 points, though his side slipped to 1-2 in the standings.

The victory moved Slovenia to fourth place in Group D, clinging to the final qualifying slot for the knockout phase with two games left.

With only the top four teams advancing, Doncic and company will need to sustain their momentum to secure safe passage into the Round of 16.
