BTS member V once again proved his global superstar status with a memorable appearance at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on August 25, throwing the ceremonial first pitch during the Los Angeles Dodgers’ game against the Cincinnati Reds.

Kim Taehyung, known professionally as V, took the mound wearing a no. 7 jersey tucked into faded jeans.

After bowing slightly to Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto, he delivered a smooth left-handed strike while ARMY fans screamed in excitement. V then gave the traditional call of “It’s time for Dodger baseball!” in English.

Adding to the excitement, V shared a dugout moment with Japan’s two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani.

The two shook hands, exchanged a hug, and briefly chatted before Ohtani headed onto the field to play.

V also spoke with Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow, and waved to the crowd as photographers captured every interaction. He returned to toss warmup pitches left-handed, letting fans capture the experience on camera phones.

The Dodgers highlighted the V-Ohtani meeting on social media, calling them “two of the biggest global superstars” and sharing a video of the interaction on X, further cementing the crossover moment between K-pop and Major League Baseball.

From first pitch to dugout camaraderie, V’s appearance turned Dodger Stadium into a stage for both music and sports fans, creating a moment that will be remembered long after the final out.
